Keeping People and the Environment Alive and Safe Through Sustainable HIV/AIDS Program and Environmental Advocacy.

Mckingtorch Creatives in Ghana introduced me to installation of Christmas Tree using plastic bottles which I erected in Dec. 2018 during Ajebamidele Youth Carnival held in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. I erected Christmas Tree using Plastic Waste that attracted young people to collect free condoms while the Plastic Christmas Tree also reduces plastic bottles in the environment causing Environmental Hazard.

The Christmas tree attracted community dwellers for sight seeing while under the tree they were educated about information around sexual reproductive health, they were given free condoms and were educated about importance of condom which is a family planning method that can also prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Gonorrhea, HIV, Hepatitis and others. This initiative makes the environment and people especially young people safe and healthy.

Appreciation goes to Mckingtorch Creatives in Ghana, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Nigeria), Federal Ministry of Environment, Foundation for Sustainable Health Promotion and Development (FOSHPAD), Ekiti State AIDS Control Agency (EKSACA) and TalentPlus Resources International for their support
